Sierraville - Day 1

This weekend we have the awesome opportunity to go to hang out with our good friends, the Woods, at their family cabin. We are so thankful that the Kerrs let us all go up there and have fun!
We all loaded up on Friday afternoon and headed up to Sierraville. The girls and babies took one car, the boys in the other. Once we got there, we settled in and headed to the backyard for some hot dogs and smores.

20 Weeks

John is such a joy! He is sleeping at night again and really starting to be fun. He smiles, laughs, coos, and grabs at toys. He is trying to put everything into his mouth. He spends alot of time grabbing his feet lately and yesterday was able to suck on his toes! He seems to finally be working out a bit of a schedule. He goes to be between 8 and 9 pm and then wakes up between 5 and 6 am. He has a morning nap around 9 am. That is where the routine stops. Who knows how long he'll sleep or when his next nap will be? I'm glad for what routine he is working out though. He's a very happy, mellow baby.

Happy Fourth of July!

This year was the first year in a long time that our family stayed in Chico to enjoy the festivities. We had a mellow day at home followed by a family BBQ in the evening. It amazes me how much time our kids will spend swimming! When the sun began to set we headed out to the Costco parking lot to watch the fireworks at the Fairground. We were joined by family and friends. It was really fun! Getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare, but we've learned a few lessons and will do better next year!

More Cabin Fun...

We had another fun weekend in Lake Almanor. I didn't take that many photos because we really didn't do much exciting! It was just relaxation. The kids love to lay down next to John and cuddle and talk with him. They got to do alot of that last weekend.

Twilight Scout Camp

The day after we got back from our big Yellowstone trip, Macky began Twilight camp for cub scouts. He was so excited. They hold it every year at the Elks Lodge. Last year was cut short by all of the fires, so Mac was really looking forward to this year. They have a bunch of stations set up where the boys can do things like archery, orienteering, panning for gold, etc. The picture below is of a sack race. I'm sorry it's a bit blurry. On the last day of camp they got to participate in an egg drop. Uncle Brett helped Mac and Ethan prepare their eggs. The firemen came with their ladder truck and dropped the eggs from a great height. Mac's and Ethan's eggs each made it safely to the ground. Then the firemen sprayed all of the kids with their firehose from the truck. During this show, the boys' families ate a picnic dinner and watched. Marissa was nice enough to cuddle and hold John during dinner. Thanks Marissa!

John's 4 Month Check Up

John has grown well! He is 15.7 pounds and 27 inches. He got three immunizations, one by mouth and two shots. I thought he was able to roll over, but now I think one of the kids must have helped him as he has not rolled over since. We are a bit worried about him because he does not bear weight on his legs and doesn't pull up with his little arms. The doctor said that 90% of kids his age could. So, we are working with him and hopefully his muscles will get stronger.
