Talent Show

Maddie performed in the Chico Noon Exchange Club Talent Show.  She won first place for her division!  She will be performing for the district in May.  I tried to video tape it, but I had a little helper so I had a problem part way through.  I am sorry, but the video is divided into two parts.  Thank you to Alina for accompanying Maddie so beautifully!
Also, I have a video here of John saying Humpty Dumpty just for fun!

Test Post

I am trying out posting from my phone. This may change my whole life!!

January Mega Blog Post

I got to go and watch Chandler play basketball with his Ward's team.  He LOVES that game.
Spencer and Maddie made a mission.  They did a terrific job.  She did the one from San Francisco.
 Oranges.  Yum!
Mac and Maddie went to a practice for the Monster Concert.  Spencer took them to lunch after.
Spencer and I got all dressed up for our friends' White Trash Christmas party.  It was in January this year.  So fun!  Spencer held the title for best spit wad guy.

Here are Mac and Maddie after the Monster Concert.  They would not let Maddie perform because she missed the dress rehearsal that morning.  It was a huge disappointment, especially since they let other children who missed a rehearsal in for the show.  Bah.  Maddie says that she wants to do it next year.  What a champ!

Mom and Gary found some of our old snow clothes.  This is John wearing one of Uncle Steve's old hats.
These lovely ladies performed Do, Re, Me from Sound of Music for our Ward Talent Show.  Alina played the piano beautifully.  Marnette and Maddie were a great pair for a duet!!  Maybe I'll get around to uploading the video this week!

This is John on his first day of preschool at the Peanut Butter Palace.  He loves to go there.
Chinese New Year!  We got to try authentic Chinese dumplings.  Wang Lu worked so hard!!  She helped the kids to learn along the way.  The dumplings were delicious!!

The Chinese girls brought little gifts for the children.  It is tradition to put candies and money in red envelopes for gifts on Chinese New Year.

Mac went on his last camp out to earn his First Class level in Boy Scouts.  Yipee!!

Cousin Fun

We found some free time today and hit the park!  We haven't been to Caper Acres in a long time and it was super fun to end up here.  John is big enough now to be able to do everything without too much help.  It's great!  I just followed him around.

Ryan was eaten, again and again, by the scary sea serpent.
 Mac has some serious skills!
 Maddie and Jaycee played Mermaids.

Chandler played ship with John.  It was hilarious.  Chandler was a good sport!

Happy Birthday Shannon!

After school on Friday we went to see the Lorax.  It was a fantastic movie.  I really enjoyed it.  John sat by himself the entire time.  That was awesome!  He did not wear the 3D glasses the whole time, but he still enjoyed the show.
That evening we went and played games and ate pie with Shannon for her birthday.  It was a great evening.

Maddie's Field Trip to Gateway

On Friday I was able to drive Maddie's class to the Gateway Museum.  It was a stormy yucky day - a terrific day to play inside in the museum!!
 The kids were all great!

Mac Turns 12!

I can't believe it, but Mac is 12 years old!  He turned 12 on a Sunday.  He woke up early so that he could dress nicely for the special occasion and still have time to unwrap presents before Church.  Immediately following Church, Mac received the Aaronic Priesthood from his dad.  Happy day!  The Guadagnins and the Carrs were able to join us for that.
After Church, Grandma and Grandpa had brought presents over.  This big one is from Uncle Steve.
Steve & Kayla got Macky a new guitar.  Mac has been taking lessons and needed to move up from my old piece of junk guitar.  Thanks!
That evening we had a family party for him and Uncle Doug.  Mac did not feel well, but he managed to drag himself out of bed to open presents...
The Saturday after his birthday, Mac and I were able to go down to the Temple together.  This was his first trip to the temple and he was very excited.  He learned alot and we had a great time.

Mac loves space.  He made this display of the solar system for homeschool.
This little John here is so cute.  This is how I think Mac should be.  He's grown up so fast!!
