Easter

This Easter has been a bit crazy, with all the sick people around, but we made do.  We got to color some Easter eggs.  It turns out that John likes to drink vinegar.  YICK!

Wang Lu tried her hand at coloring eggs.  She used chopsticks!
I wish I had thought of taking the pictures in front of the door first, as the lighting is better, but I didn't.  The children looked nice for church.  They got to sing with Primary.  It was a very nice service.

After Church, the kids hunted for eggs.  The Easter Bunny did a spectacular job!!  We still have a couple to find.  The kids were out looking for a couple of hours!!

Kindergarten Fun!

Ryan's class got to go and visit Two by Two, a local petting zoo.  All of the children got to feed the little lamb.
They all got to hold a goat.  They were able to see a donkey, llama, pig, many goats, a variety of chickens and even a couple of huge turtles.  I'm glad I don't have all of those things in my backyard!!
On the last Thursday before Easter, the kids got to have some Easter fun at school.  I got to bring the ice cream treat.  Ryan was so happy!  The kids all lined up to search for the eggs.  Then they were off!  Ryan ran around the yard a few times.  He was very difficult to photograph.

Ryan found a special egg with his name on it.
This is Ryan's best buddy Joshua with his special egg.
Here are the kids checking out their loot.  Believe it or not, most kids did not eat the candy out of their eggs.

Isn't it too early?

On Friday, April 1st the kids went swimming.  I thought they might just jump in and get out.  But, oh no, they actually swam.  The water was freezing.  It was maybe 80 degrees out.  They are REALLY ready for summer!!

Even John got in on the action.  With his life jacket on, he is free to roam.  This summer will be SO much easier than last!!

Hurricanes

We are through with another season of soccer.  Ryan did very well.  He especially loved to play goalie.  This last Saturday  he stopped three goals!!  He had a great time with his team.  Above is Ryan with his coach, Kimberly.
Ryan loves trophies.  This one has a ball that spins.
Here is Ryan's team.  As I missed photos three times, this is the only team shot!
