Auntie Jenny and Wyatt

Wyatt came over this morning with Aimee.  He needed a hair cut!  So, I busted out the clippers.  He was really good for the buzzers but did NOT like the scissors.  So, here's his new hair do!

Circumcision

Poor ol' Ryan had to get a circumcision yesterday.  He was so super brave!  He was cracking everyone up and had a great attitude.  He's recovering nicely and enjoying all of the extra screen time!

Chico State Peaches

On Monday, we headed out to the Chico State Farm to pick some peaches.  You can pick as many as you want for $1/lb.  We picked 91 pounds!!  Whew!  John was Grandpa's best friend, of course.  They had a ball.  Ryan picked and picked.  He loved climbing the trees.  We ended up with enough peaches for over 30 jars, two batches of jam, two cobblers, and plenty left over to eat.  We have been peach crazy around here!

12 Years

Our 12th anniversary was last weekend.  Spencer worked really hard to get me to go out of town without the kids!  We visited with new baby Zane and then drove up the hill to Lake Almanor.  It took a small army of people to take care of our kiddos for the night, but it was worth it!  We went out to dinner and watched a movie.  We enjoyed some time by the Lake.  We were going to go jet skiing but it was too cold and windy.  I read most of Saturday while Spencer slept.  It was great!  We came home feeling refreshed.  It's nice to get away once in a while.

Zane Jacob Carr

Here is Zane!  He was 6 lbs., 15 oz., 21 inches long.  His daddy called him a string bean!  He's adorable.  In the photo it's hard to see, but he has red hair and a serious cowlick on the front.

Saydee Anne Perez

This is Saydee Anne Perez.  She was born on August 15, 2010.  She was 9 lbs., 9 oz., 22 inches long!  She is just beautiful!  It was rough getting her here, but we are so happy to have a baby girl cousin!!

Hunter Safety

The boys did it!  All three boys finished their hunter's safety course and passed the test.  They are now hunters!  Chandler, Macky, and Ethan went up to Paradise for two classes during the week for three hours each.  Then they went up on Saturday for a bit of review and a big ol' test.  They were all nervous and had spent hours studying.  It all paid off!  They all passed the exam and then were able to go over to the Paradise Rod and Gun Club and do a little shooting.  I think that they used .22s.  They shot at targets.  We were all SO PROUD!!  Way to go boys!!

First Day of School 2010

The kids were up bright and early - especially Ryan.  Mac was excited in spite of himself.  He'll be in fifth grade this year and he is really looking forward to dissecting things.  Maddie is nervous to be back in public school, but excited to make some friends in her third grade class.  Ryan is jumping for joy and can hardly wait for afternoon kindergarten to start.  He doesn't understand why we can't go RIGHT NOW!!  Unfortunately all three kids are in different schools.  I now know that I can make it to deliver the children promptly by myself, but I'm oh so glad to have carpooling help!  I'm sad that school is starting again as I love our adventures, but happy for them to get back to some traditional learning.

Alligator Hole

Delayne and I took our kids to Alligator Hole today.  It was so much fun!  I wish that we had done this earlier on so that we could have visited all summer!  I had never been to this spot in Upper Park before.  The kids had a blast.  John face planted several times.  The ground was uneven and it was tricky for him, but he made out okay.  Eliza was awesome!  She had to go potty and so Delayne told her to go out and pee in the water.  Well, she came out and peed on the beach.  It was great!  The boys spent alot of time finding tadpoles, fish, frogs, and water snakes.  Then the boys started collecting algae, which Bonnie called "allergy."  So fun!  I hope we can sneak in another trip to this fun spot.
