Welcome Baby Jack!

Our newest addition came into this world in a hurry yesterday, Monday, February 16, 2009. We arrived at Feather River Hospital in Paradise at 8:30 AM. To induce labor, the nurse started Jen on Pitocin at about 11:00 AM. Our not so little boy was delivered at 1:00 PM. He weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches long. Both baby and mom were perfect. We feel so blessed.

We finally decided on a name this morning. They wouldn't let us leave the hospital with "baby" on the birth certificate. We decided to give him family names, John Stephen. His first name comes from Jen's grandfather and his middle name comes from her brother. His name is John Stephen Smith, but we will call him Jack.
