Flying Kites on Table Mountain

 Spencer took the kids to table mountain to fly kites one afternoon.  This was super helpful to me as I was preparing for finals.  John was really happy about his trip, and very tired once he got home. Oh, and man, was he dirty.

Love these guys.

Maddie's Singing Recital

This is Maddie just before her recital.  She sang "One Voice." 

This is Maddie on stage with her teacher.  She was very nervous, but sang very well.  The crowd was great and very supportive.

John seems to have gotten ahold of my phone, opened an app, and taken some pictures of himself.  Clever little boy...

Play Date

Campbell and John had a fun painting play date.  What a couple of sillies!

Crazy Hair Day

Happy Birthday to Me!!

I had a great birthday!  My brother sent me this awesome pin!

Delayne came and made me this fantastic cake!!  The white part may look like icing, but it's actually white chocolate.  Can you believe that?  She is amazing!

We all watched General Conference together.  It was delightful.  The kids were very diligent in taking notes in their Conference packets.  I was surprised how much the kids worked at their packets.  I think we have a new tradition!

Of course, not everyone did their packets.  

We barely snuck in one card game.  Next time, Ethan, next time.

Bonnie and Maddie wrote a terrific story over the weekend.  They wanted to share it with the children before bed, but never got the chance.  Just before the Stapfs left, they gave their presentation.  They are so creative.  

Easter

Easter this year was a bit rough. We all ended up with strep throat. We did manage to dye somewhat hard boiled eggs and have a little Easter hunt.

Spring Break

Spring break was busy! Grandma Vonnie finally gave up her license, so I got to spend lots of time with her, driving her where she needed to go. I took the boys on a hike to Monkey Face, but we didn't make it to the top. We hit the Gateway Science Museum. We played with friends. It was a great week!
